PKL 9: Mohammadreza Shadlu will play tonight for Patna Pirates
Iranian player Mohammadreza Shadlu is set to play his first game of PKL 9.
Big news for Patna Pirates as star defender Mohammadreza Shadlu returns to reclaim the team's lost momentum. The game against Telugu Titans will be the third encounter of the Bihar-based franchise, and they are yet to open their winning account. The Pirates played to a draw against Puneri Paltan in their first match and lost their second battle against the Jaipur Pink Panthers.
Star player ‘Shadlu’ set to give Patna their first victory
Three-time champion Patna Pirates have looked ordinary in their defense so far, and with the inclusion of Mohammadreza Shadlu now, the team doesn’t have to worry about their defense unit. The star defender from Iran has recently arrived in India to play his first game on Tuesday. There are some visa issues with Iranian players due to which they will miss some games in the beginning. But, as Shadlu has arrived now, it is most likely that the Iranians will commence their campaign anytime soon.
Best defender of Season 8
Mohammadreza Shadlu was the best defender in the previous edition with 86 tackle points. This star all-rounder can completely change the fortunes of Patna Pirates right from the start of this game itself. The Telugu Titans are not the strongest of the teams in the league, but now with the news of Mohammadreza Shadlu’s inclusion against them, their chances of victory look quite lean.
When to watch Patna Pirates vs Telugu Titans
The much-awaited battle will take place on October 11, Tuesday, at 8:30 PM IST. This is going to be the best opportunity for the Patna Pirates to make a comeback in the league. Apart from this battle, Haryana Steelers will take on Tamil Thalaivas at 7:30 PM IST in the same stadium, which is Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru.
