PKL 9: Puneri Paltan retains four more young and exciting players
Team has released the list of all its retained players.
The team of Puneri Paltan has retained some more players for the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 9. The team has retained Mohit Goyat, who performed very well in the last PKL season. Apart from this, Akash Shinde and Govind Gurjar have also been retained. On the other hand, left corner Badal Singh and left raider Aditya Shinde have been retained by the team from the New Young Players category.
Puneri Paltan also retained Mohit Goyat few days back
Mohit Goyat did a great job for the team in the last PKL season. He made his PKL debut playing for Puneri Paltan and gave tremendous performance in the very first season of the league. Mohit Goyat scored 187 points in 21 matches, including 159 raids and 28 tackle points. Mohit Goyat had also hit eight Super-10s and one High-5. This is the main reason why Puneri Paltan has retained him for the upcoming season. On the other hand, if we talk about Akash Shinde, Govind Gurjar, Badal Singh and left raider Aditya Shinde, then they did not get exposure and that is why all eyes will be on these players this PKL season.
The team had also retained Aslam Inamdar
Puneri Paltan was the first team to retain the star player Aslam Inamdar, which was announced on 21 July. The team on 22 July announced the retention of Mohit Goyat. Puneri Paltan has retained both these players from the B category. At the same time, the team has also changed its coach before the upcoming season. The team has appointed BC Ramesh as the head coach in place of Anup Kumar.
The auction for the 9th season of PKL is going to be held in Mumbai on August 5 and 6. More than 500 players are going to be bidding in this auction. Retention policy has also been announced for PKL season 9 and each team can retain six players. Puneri Paltan has announced all its six retained players.
