The young player had shown a tremendous performance last season.

There is not much time left in the auction for the 9th season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). This is the reason why teams have started releasing their respective list of players to be retained. Following this the team of Puneri Paltan has retained one of its key players for the upcoming PKL season. The star raider is none other than Aslam Inamdar. This was informed through the social handle of Puneri Paltan that Aslam Inamdar is retained for the upcoming season. The franchise wrote in its tweet 'One Man Army'.

Aslam Inamdar scored 189 points in the 8th season of PKL

Talking about Aslam Inamdar, he made his debut for Puneri Paltan in the 8th season of PKL. He impressed everyone with his tremendous game in the very first season. Aslam Inamdar had scored 189 points in 23 matches and made his place in the top-6 raiders of the season. This is the reason why the team has retained him first for the next PKL season.

Puneri Paltan made it to the playoffs last PKL season. The team won 12 out of 22 matches and lost 9, while one match ended in a draw and they finished sixth in the points table. The team initially suffered consecutive losses but after half of the PKL season, they picked up their momentum and qualified for the league’s playoffs.

BC Ramesh will be the head coach of the team next season

At the same time, Puneri Paltan has also changed its coach before the upcoming season. The team has appointed BC Ramesh as the head coach in place of Anup Kumar. Puneri Paltan had made it to the playoffs in PKL-5 under the coaching of BC Ramesh and will be hoping to do well with the team once again.

BC Ramesh's performance as a coach has been tremendous. He was the assistant coach of Bengaluru Bulls in season 6 when the team won the title. After this, he was the coach of Bengal Warriors in season 7 and they also won the tournament for the first time.
