Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 to start in October
The campaign will witness some newly built teams which will make the contest more interesting.
The much-anticipated Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 is all set to begin in the month of October, 2022. The excitement of the auctions began a while ago, and in between, this big news has already created buzz. Just over two months are left and it is time for the franchise to take their pre-season calls.
The tournament will take place at different venues like it used to. Crowds will be allowed inside the arena to cheer for their respective teams.
Auction underway
The PKL Season 9 auction is taking place on August 5 and 6, The first day of the Pro Kabaddi League went in favour of all the big players, including Pardeep Narwal, Pawan Sehrawat, Vikash Kandola, Fazal Atrachali, and Surjeet Singh, to name a few. The day became even more special when Pawan was sold to Tamil Thalaivas for a whopping amount of ₹2.26 crores. Pardeep Narwal was sold for ₹90 lakhs to Gujarat Giants, but UP Yoddhas used their FBM to get him back. Vikash Kandola, who was sold to Bengaluru Bulls for a massive ₹1.70 crores, became one of the highlights on the first day of the auction.

What’s next for the franchises?
The jobs of all the teams are not over. In fact, it is now high time for the Pro Kabaddi League teams to take their respective calls when it comes to captaincy, analysis, and many more. Dabang Delhi, who won the title last time, would look to maintain their consistency in this season as well While Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans would look to improve their performance in this season.
