PKL: Top five players who became crorepati most times in Pro Kabaddi history

10 players became crorepatis in the PKL 12 auction.
The rise of Pro Kabaddi as a tournament is undeniable. The only thing that remains the same as season 1 is its success. Season 1 of the Pro Kabaddi League was a massive success. It hasn’t changed, but it has grown. PKL’s phenomenal success can be gauged from the price tag of the players.
In the last six seasons, more than 20 players have been bid at Rs 1 crore or more. The league got its first crorepati player, Fazel Atrachali, in Season 6, followed by five other players who became crorepatis that same year. Since then, in every season, at least two players have been bought in the auction for more than Rs 1 crore.
Where a few players fail to justify their humongous price tag, some of them make sure they keep getting massive bids in the upcoming auctions as well. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five players who became crorepati the most times in PKL history.
5. Siddharth Desai
Siddharth Desai is a brilliant and efficient raider with 693 raid points in his PKL career. U Mumba fetched Desai for 36.4 lakh in his debut season. Desai showcased his efficiency and became a player to watch out for by scoring 218 raid points in his debut season.
In season 7, Desai received a bid of over one crore for the first time, and Telugu Titans bought him for Rs 1.45 crore. Later, Desai got bids over 1 crore twice more. In season 8, he was once again roped in by Telugu Titans for INR 1.3 crore and by Haryana Steelers in season 10 for INR 1 crore.
4. Fazel Atrachali

Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali has been a part of Pro Kabaddi since Season 2. He has been an integral part of the league. In season 2, U Mumba bought Atrachali for just INR 4 lakh, and retained him for one more season.
In season 6, he became the first player to get Rs 1 crore and once again joined U Mumba. Atrachali was retained via the Elite Retained Player category by U Mumba in seasons 7 and 8. Moreover, Puneri Paltan bought the veteran defender for Rs 1.38 crore in season 9. Whereas, Gujarat Giants acquired his services in season 10 for Rs 1.60 crore.
3. Guman Singh
Guman Singh began his PKL career with the Jaipur Pink Panthers in season 7. In the next season, Singh was roped in by Patna Pirates for INR 18.5 lakh. Subsequently, U Mumba bought him for Rs 1.25 crore in season 9 for his sharp raiding skills. Season 10’s auction didn’t get him over a crore, but U Mumba reclaimed him for INR 85 lacs.
However, he returned stronger in the season 11 auction and was acquired by the Gujarat Giants for a whopping price of INR 1.97 crore. Despite having a below-average season 11, Singh was once again roped in for a massive price tag of INR 1.073 crore by UP Yoddhas in the PKL 12 auction.
2. Pawan Sehrawat

Pawan Sehrawat is among the top 3 raiders of all time in PKL’s history. He has 1388 raid points to his name in PKL and is performing consistently well. In the PKL 12 auction, Sehrawat was roped in by Tamil Thalaivas for just INR 59.50 lakh, after a long time he has been sold for less than a crore.
In seasons 9 and 10, he was sold for over 2 crore (INR 2.26 and INR 2.605 crore, respectively) by the Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans. The series of crores continued in season 11 as well, when he was bought by Telugu Titans once again for 1.725 crore. It will be interesting to see how he performs in PKL 12.
1. Mohammadreza Shadloui

Mohammadreza Shadloui is the only player in PKL history to be sold for over 2 crores three times. The Iranian all-rounder began his PKL career in the 8th season with the Patna Pirates for 31 lakh. After that, he stunned everyone with his performance. He scored 89 tackle points in the 8th season and instantly came into the limelight.
Shadloui has never scored less than 80 tackle points in a season. In season 9, he was retained by the Pirates. He was subsequently sold for Rs 2.35 crore, Rs 2.07 crore, and Rs 2.23 crore in seasons 10, 11, and 12, respectively, becoming the only player to do so in PKL history. Gujarat Giants bought him in the season 12 auction.
