At the end of Day 5 of PKL 12, Puneri Paltan have secured the first position.

The opening game of day 5 of the Pro Kabaddi League 12 (PKL 12) witnessed Dabang Delhi get off to a magical start with a win over the Bengaluru Bulls.

Delhi were led to perfection by their new captain, Ashu Malik, who pulled off a 15-point stint in his first game as a captain. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Bulls continue to struggle and lost their second consecutive match.

In the second game, the Jaipur Pink Panthers recorded a thumping win over the Patna Pirates. Narender Redhu secured the bragging rights against his former side, having led the Pink Panthers to a flying start.

Nitin Kumar stole the spotlight with a match-winning tally of 13 points while the Pirates ended up on the losing side once more.

At the end of the fifth day, Puneri Paltan maintained their lead at the top of the table with four points in two games. The UP Yoddhas remain second with two points, while U Mumba are in third place with two points.

Bengal Warriorz remained at the fourth position with two points in one game, while Dabang Delhi climbed to the fifth position. Jaipur Pink Panthers claimed the sixth spot with two points, followed by the Tamil Thalaivas, who find themselves at seventh with two points in as many games.

The Patna Pirates are positioned eighth with no points to their name. Bengaluru Bulls are now ranked ninth, followed by the Telugu Titans at tenth. The Haryana Steelers and Gujarat Giants are placed eleventh and twelfth, respectively.

Not much has changed in the green band race of PKL 12 so far. Arjun Deshwal continues to lead the pack with 24 raid points in two outings.

Maninder Singh has climbed to second with 22 points in two games. Devank Dalal has slipped down to third with 21 points. Gagan Gowd has come down to fourth with 21 raid points, while Vijay Malik completes the top five with 19 points.
