These players performed at their best in the last week.

As the Pro Kabaddi League progresses into the last set of matches, all the teams have geared up to finish in the top six. On our way to the playoffs, we have witnessed some of the best performances this season.

The players, like every season, have come up with exceptional performances. Not only did they impress everyone with their furious game, they also helped their teams to stay a step ahead of their opponents and maintain the run in the points table of Pro Kabaddi League Season 8.

Our Team of the Week 7 features some of the finest players. They played superbly last week and stole the show every time they performed. Let’s have a look.

Raiders

Surendra Gill (UP Yoddha)

Surendra Gill’s performances have surely been the ones to not miss this season. The raider has been in the form of his life. He scored a total of 22 points last week, out of which 10 came against the Patna Pirates, where his team lost by a very slight margin of 34-36. The rest of the 12 points came against the Telugu Titans, which helped his team to secure an easy win by 39-35.

Sachin Tanwar (Patna Pirates)

Sachin Tanwar has always shown fruitful results for his team, whenever it has needed him the most. He scored a total of 45 points last week in the Pro Kabaddi League. The young raider dominantly scored 12 points against UP Yoddha. It helped his team to take the game in a nail-biting finish.

He continued to maintain his consistency against the Gujarat Giants. He scored six points and helped the team to win easily by 43-23. Sachin then notched up two Super 10s against Bengal Warriors and U Mumba respectively.

Abhishek Singh (U Mumba)

Abhishek Singh has been nothing less than a boon for his team this season. The raider scored eight points against the Puneri Paltan, despite which his team failed to win the game with a score of 34-36.

However, he was impeccable against the Tamil Thalaivas and took his team to victory. The raider notched up 13 points against Patna Pirates as well, but failed to end up on the winning side.

All-Rounders

Team of the week

Deepak Hooda (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Deepak Hooda has always been known for leading his team from the front in the most difficult situations. In the match against Dabang Delhi, he dominated the entire game to win it by 36-30. He scored 12 points, which included 11 raid points and one tackle point.

However, he failed to take his team to victory against the Haryana Steelers, where he scored eight points, which included seven raid points and one tackle point.

Mohammadreza (Patna Pirates)

Mohammadreza outplayed his opponents with his amazing raiding skills last week in the Pro Kabaddi League. The past week also saw him showing his fabulous defensive skills.

He scored a total of 20 points in four matches. His best performance came against the Gujarat Giants, where he scored eight tackle points. Mohammadreza could end this season amongst the most successful all-rounders in the league.

Defenders

Sagar (Tamil Thalaivas)

Sagar has been the voice of Tamil Thalaivas’ defence this season. The defender scored eight tackle points against the Telugu Titans, which helped his team to clinch a one-sided victory.

His performance was stunning against U Mumba as well, where he scored three tackle points and a bonus. However, it wasn’t enough to get his team to another victory in the Pro Kabaddi League. Sagar scored three points in a heavy loss against Haryana Steelers.

Sandeep Dhull (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Sandeep Dhull has been one of the top defenders this season. His unbreakable defence makes it difficult for the opponents to score points easily. He scored three points against Dabang Delhi, which was followed by another stellar performance against the Haryana Steelers with six points. Although his performance was enough to conquer Delhi, the team fell short against the Steelers.

Dhull scored four points against Gujarat Giants and this time his team were able to register a victory in the Pro Kabaddi League.
