After two months of competitive action, the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL Season 2) concluded with Kashi Kings clinching the title after a 38–32 win over defending champions Lucknow Lions in the final. Kashi set the tone early, heading into halftime with a healthy 20-14 lead and maintaining control through the second half to seal a six-point victory.

The final showcased disciplined raiding and timely defensive interventions, with Kashi executing their plans more efficiently on the big night. Varun Sindhu led the raiding charts in the final with 13 raid points, consistently breaking through the Lucknow defense.

He received solid support from Arjun Sirohi, who contributed six raid points along with a crucial tackle point. Kashi’s defense also played a key role, with Hrajendra Kumar picking up 4 tackle points and Vikul Lamba adding 3, ensuring Lucknow were unable to build sustained momentum.

Lucknow Lions, despite the loss, had their moments through Shivam Chaudhary, who finished with 13 raid points. Arjun Deshwal added 7 raid points, while Arpit Saroha contributed 3 tackle points in defense, but the team could not overturn the early deficit.

Earlier in the playoffs, Lucknow had registered a dominant 48–23 win over Brij Stars in Semi-final 1, leading 23–10 at the break. Meanwhile, Kashi edged past Sangam Challengers 33–31 in a closely fought second semi-final, after leading 18–11 at halftime.

Yamuna Yodhas’ Ritik Sharma finishes the season as the best raider with 188 raid points in 11 matches. On the other hand, Shivam Choudhary from Lucknow Lions secured second place with 158 raid points in nine encounters.

Varun, a member of the newly crowned champions, Kashi Kings, is third on the list with 133 raid points. Vishal Choudhary (130 raid points) and Kunal Bhati (128 raid points) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
