Tamil Thalaivas vs UP Yoddhas: All time Head-to-Head record in Pro Kabaddi
Tamil Thalaivas have a two-win lead over UP Yoddhas in the Pro Kabaddi League.
Tamil Thalaivas will play UP Yoddhas in match 69 of the Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL) Season 11 at the Shaheed Vijay Pathik Sports Complex in Pune. Tamil Thalaivas come into the game on the back of five losses from the previous six games. The Thalaivas have struggled with their raiding department in the recent past. Both Sachin Tanwar and Narender Kandola have yet to score a Super 10 since the game against Telugu Titans.
Sachin Tanwar hasn’t played in the last two PKL 11 matches and Narender Kandola has not scored more than five points in a game in those games. Poor form and no game time have seen both players slip out of the list of the top raiders in the Pro Kabaddi League this season.
However, the franchise still has players like Moein Shafaghi and Vishal Chahal who have contributed meanwhile. Vishal Chahal finished his Super 10 in the win against Bengal Warriorz.

The dip in the form of the two key raiders has seen Tamil Thalaivas slip from the fourth position to third from the bottom in the list of teams with the highest average raid points scored per game.
However, the defence of the Tamil Thalaivas continue to impress as they still rank at the top among the teams for the most average successful tackles in a game.
UP Yoddhas have also struggled with their raiding combinations. The duo of Bhavani Rajpoot and Bharat Hooda have done well in the last two games, helping the team secure a win and then a draw after a run of four games. Bhavani Rajpoot scored his second consecutive Super 10 of the season as he helped UP Yoddhas snatch three crucial points from a position where a loss was certain.
Bharat Hooda has five Super 10s in the season, the fourth most of all the raiders in the league and he totals a total of 78 points. Bhavani Rajpoot also has climbed up to the 21st spot in the list of raiders with the most raid points. Consequently, the Yoddhas rank third in the league for the average raid points scored per game.
The defence, however, hasn’t shown any promise yet with only Sumit and Hitesh being the consistent performers. Both scored three points each in the win against Telugu Titans in the Pro Kabaddi League. With the two teams playing each other twice in the next few days, the Yoddhas would hope their defence picks up form and builds momentum.
