Fifth round of FMSCI Indian national rally sprint championship will be held in Guwahati.

The FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship for two wheelers is set to feature in central India for the very first time tomorrow in Indore. The fourth round of the flagship motorcycle rally event will be held on the property of NATRAX, the government’s state of the art automobile testing and certification centre and track in Pithampur, on the outskirts of Indore.

This time around, in addition to the 13 classes of the National Championship round, there will be a separate Sprint Support Rally conducted with seven classes only for the local youth with their own trophies and prizes, to allow them to experience this form of rallying and familiarise them with the sport since the Sprint Rally has never come to Central India before.

“It is a great initiative to take the FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship to central India and to conduct seven separate classes for the youth. This will further grow the awareness of the sport across the nation. With the support of Natrax we are able to reach and introduce two wheeler racing to the citizens of Madhya Pradesh in a safe and secure environment and I am immensely grateful for that.”  said Farad Bhathena, the Promoter of the Indian National Rally Sprint Championship.

Some of the well known riders participating are Shamim Khan from Nashik, Asif Ali from Bhopal, Badal Doshi from Mumbai, Pinkesh Thakkar and Amarendra Sathe from Pune. This round of the FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship 2024 for two wheelers will feature 20 classes in the National Championship Round and the Support Rally round, designed to foster a fair and competitive environment to bring the best of Indian riders.

Shamim Khan expressed his excitement ahead of the rally saying, “We are in the business end of the season and the pressure is on. It is great that the rally is being conducted in central India as it provides an opportunity for riders from this region to qualify for the final round. Transporting the bikes can be expensive sometimes and might be a hurdle for enthusiasts who want to begin a career in the sport but with the rally coming to your doorstep now, there isn’t anything left for you to do but show up and give your best on the track.”

The Promoter of the INRSC-2W, FB Motorsports, has tied up with the Indian Automotive Racing Club (IARC), Mumbai, to host the Indore round of the Indian National Rally Sprint Championship for two wheelers on Saturday, 5th October and on the following day, i.e. Sunday 6th October, IARC will be hosting a round of the Indian National Rally Sprint Championship for 4 Wheelers, promising an action packed weekend with two and four wheeler rally action.

Following the Indore leg of the FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship 2024, the championship will move to Guwahati for Round 5 on 24 November 2024. The season will culminate with the finals in Pune or Bangalore on 14-15 December 2024, where the top contenders from each zone will compete for the ultimate title.
