Baldur’s Gate 3’s influence on Stranger Things Season 5

Matt Duffer recently had an interview with Variety, where he spilled the beans on how he was influenced by the BG3 game and approach for the Stranger Things season’s finale episode.

Matt and his brother were thinking more about D&D and at that time, he was playing Baldur’s Gate 3. This is when the inspiration hit him. To defeat Vecna and Minflayer, they will need the entire party to work together.

Everyone recognized either via self-acceptance or by resolving all of their varied concerns that they were completely prepared for the final battle.

Only by working together as an ultimate team can they defeat this supernaturally powerful beign. Everyone has their own skills, similar to Dungeons & Dragons and similar to Baldur’s Gate. Now, everyone has to utilize them in order to win the final battle.
