Now, it has been confirmed that the movie has found its director. Simu Lin himself confirmed it on X/Twitter. Nobody 2 director, Timo Tjahjanto, will be directing this movie, which is based on the open-world action game.

Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto will be directing this film. He has worked on many small films and the biggest one was Nobody 2, a follow-up to the 2021 Bob Odenkirk action flick

He is also linked to the upcoming direct sequel to the Jason Statham-led project, The Beekeeper and Train to Busan Hollywood sequel.

Tjahjanto has publicly shown interest in directing the Sleeping Dogs movie on social media and now it has finally become true.

On the other hand, Simu Liu will be in the lead role as Wei Shen. He is known for the action film, especially his amazing role in Marvel’s Shang-Chi. He is also a part of Avengers: Doomsday.
