In recent times Services has been able to dominate the trophy, but Maharashtra had its say in 2023 and the hosts have not done too bade too in last couple of editions, at least that is what Historical data suggests that hosts often tend punch above their weight.
The pattern has been clearly visible since the Games’ inception and was clearly notable when Kerala clinched championship honors in 1987 as hosts, and more recently when Jharkhand leaped from 15th position to fifth place when organizing the 2011 edition and now, Uttarakhand will look to do better too, after a dismal run in 2023, finishing at 25th with 24 medals.
