In a recent turn of events, AIFF conducted a general coordinator and media officer workshop at National Capital.

A General Coordinator & Media Officer Workshop for the Hero I-League 2017-18 was held at the AIFF Headquarters in the capital today (November 15, 2017). The work shop was attended by general coordinators and media officers from all the Hero I-League clubs and representatives from the AIFF at Football House.

Delivering the opening address, Hero I-League CEO, Mr. Sunando Dhar expressed his ‘faith and confidence’ that the clubs will progress forward and described the upcoming season as a ‘new beginning’.

“A new season, a new beginning. I have full faith and confidence in all of you to take the league and your respective clubs forward. Wish all of you a great season ahead and hope you make everyone proud”, he quipped.

“Standards are already high and hope we can improve it further. Time to stand up and be counted.”, making his expectations clear about the quality of the game he hopes to see.

The workshop included various sessions where the clubs were educated on the regulations of the league. Media regulations and procedures were discussed in detail along with the roles and responsibilities of the Local General Coordinator. Safety & security procedures for players, officials and fans were also discussed.

The Hero I-League 2017-18 kicks off on November 25 with Minerva Punjab FC playing hosts to Mohun Bagan AC.
