The dazzling Dutchman is in the sunset of a glorious career and the Bavarians are already preparing for life without him.

Sometimes the importance of someone is never known until they are gone. Arjen Robben has been a great player over the years and the 34-year old winger has played for various clubs all around Europe. But, when it comes to Bayern Munich the Dutch superstar has been a stalwart for the Bavarians for the last few years.

In 182 matches the 34-year old has scored 93 goals for Bayern and some of which includes his famous "Robben cut-in" goals. But nothing lasts forever and this bond of Robben with the Bavarians will end inevitably. with age against him, the Flying Dutchman will hang up his boots sooner rather than later.

So, Bayern are looking for an alternative to replace the Dutch superstar but the amount of impact and service he has given to this club its difficult for the German champions to think of a replacement. Someone who can really stand out and become a sensation. So let's have a look at the top 5 players who can replace Robben at Bayern

5. Christian Pulisic

Pulisic is turning out to be the flag bearer for the United States in Europe

Pulisic has been the most impressive youngster in world football for quite some time now. The American attacker has been at Signal Iduna Park since 2015 and has evolved as a crucial player for Borussia Dortmund. Signed a new contract last January and Dortmund are hoping to keep him at the club till 2021 at least. He was heavily linked with Liverpool last summer as Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of the 19-year old winger.

The midfielder is known for his speed and tricks. He is very agile and has some great skills up his sleeve that leave defenders bamboozled. He's definitely a star on the rise and Bayern will have to splash the cash if they want the American to don the red jersey.

4. Yannick Carrasco

Carrasco could leave Atletico Madrid this summer

Carrasco has got all it takes to replace someone of Robben's stature. He brings in that flair, that eye for goal and a good amount of trickery to add variety. Recently he's not not having a great time in Spain and has had some issues with manager Diego Simeone. He's is possibly hoping for a way out soon. So, that might make things easier for the German giants to get their man.

Despite limited starts this season, the Belgian has scored three goals and four assists in La Liga. Carrasco is a proven talent and will take less time to provide an immediate impact for Bayern. Although, the Belgian prefers to play on the left wing, he can also play on the right flank as he is a two-footed player. Carrasco can even drop down as an attacking midfielder if needed. His versatility and his dribbling are the key aspects of his game and his addition will definitely strengthen Bayern's squad.

3. Florian Thauvin

Thauvin has been on fire in Ligue 1 this season

His name in this list will definitely raise a few eyebrows, but Thauvin has resurrected his career at Marseille and has been a standout performer this season in Ligue 1. "Flotov" has been pretty well overlooked but the 25-year old brings a lot of quality to the table.

The French international has scored 13 goals along with 11 assists in 24 league appearances this season. He has had his fair share of struggles in the past when he joined Newcastle United in the Premier League in 2015. But things did not go well for the Frenchman and he soon came back to Marseille.

Thauvin is very good with his crosses and will bring a different style of play. He goalscoring ability and his capability to control the game from the flanks make him a threat for any team. So, his addition will surely help the German giants as they need to replace Robben's goals as well.
