The Bavarians' president had lambasted the full-back in a recent press conference.

Just a month ago, German club Bayern Munchen president Uli Hoeness made some profane comments on the club’s former defender Juan Bernat. The fuss happened when Bernat was all set to be sold by the Bayern management because of his under-par performance in the 2017-18 Bundesliga. The left-back moved to Paris Saint Germain which brought the end of his 4-year stint in Germany.

"I am happy that the nightmare is over, for some time now his play has been rubbish," Hoeness complained then.

Following the episode, Hoeness uttered some deficient languages towards Bernat in the media. The president also accused Bernat of almost knocking Bayern out of the Champions League due to his performance on the pitch.

All this took place because of an unwanted injury to the regular Bayern left-back David Alaba. Hoeness showed his detest for the make-shift left-back Bernat that he ended up using profane language which was deeply blemishing for the 25-year-old German defender.

However, the matter is on the way of being sorted as the Bayern president seems to be guilt-ridden regarding the circumstance.

"Essentially, I would do the press conference again," Hoeness said. "The statement I made, I would not do so again. I was very sorry to have insulted Juan Bernat. But the media, which we have met with our criticism, already know."

Nevertheless, Juan Bernat is not the only one to face such ranting from Hoeness. The Bayern boss used harsh words to describe Mesut Ozil’s decision of retiring from international football after Germany’s disappointing exit from the 2018 World cup in Russia.

While talking about Bayern’s recent performance Hoeness said, “It has become clear that the team was rather unsure in the first half," he continued. "We played very cautiously and did not get the tempo on the pitch. But with increasing playing time, the team has become more confident and has made a very decent game.”

The German Champion faced Greek side AEK Athens in the Champions League on Wednesday at the Allianz Arena. The home side won the 2-0 as a result of satisfactory performance.
