We will see some Indian players in the Bundesliga soon- Mario Gotze
The Dortmund star also went on to state that Indian football is on the rise.
Before India kicked-off its AFC Asian Cup campaign, the Blue Tigers received a heartwarming message from some Bundesliga stars, wishing them luck for the continental showpiece. One of them was 2014 World Cup winner Mario Gotze, who wished midfielder Anirudh Thapa luck for the tournament.
Now in an exclusive interview with Times Now, the Borussia Dortmund star expressed his belief that India has the talent to make it big in football. On being asked if he could see an Indian player in the Bundesliga in the foreseeable future, the former Bayern player said, "I don’t have a single doubt there are talented players all around the globe. With a population of India’s size and the passion of the people for sports in general and increasingly football in particular - why shouldn’t there be highly skilled Indian players in the future? I almost bet we‘ll see some before too long."
