Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford have been performing consistently well since the departure of Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United was pushed past the finish line by a valiant De Gea as Tottenham succumbed at Wembley. Liverpool got a hard-fought victory over Brighton and Chelsea beat Newcastle with a score of 2-1. Manchester City thrashed Wolves 3-0 thanks to a brace from Gabriel Jesus. However, West Ham beat Arsenal in what was the surprise of the week.

Gameweek 22 Review

Captain Hazard led the team with 10 points while striker Marcus Rashford got seven points due to his goal against Tottenham. Andrew Robertson got 9 points while Alisson Becker got 6 points thanks to their respective performances against Brighton.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka got four points due to his brilliant defensive effort against Watford in a losing cause but the rest of the team disappointed. Aubameyang, Fraser, Richarlison and Marcos Alonso got only 2 points each while Maddison and Robert Snodgrass got only one each.

The team finished below average due to the poor performances.

Gameweek 23 Transfers

James Maddison’s recent slump has made him a potential transfer choice. Possible transfers are Jesse Lingard and Felipe Anderson. Jesse Lingard is chosen due to the current roaring form of the Red Devils.

Robert Snodgrass is also transferred out due to his bad form. Solly March and James McArthur were considered but Alex Iwobi is chosen. Alex Iwobi has been a vital cog for Emery’s men and the winger looks to have made the starting spot his own.

4-4-2 is the preferred formation. Due to Crystal Palace’s away fixture against league-leaders Liverpool, Aaron Wan-Bissaka drops to the bench in defence. Marcos Alonso, Matt Doherty and Toby Alderweireld start alongside Vice-captain Andrew Robertson. Alisson maintains his spot in front of goal with Fabianski moving to the bench. In midfield, Richarlison is moved to the bench. Eden Hazard, Iwobi, Jesse Lingard and Ryan Fraser start. Marcus Rashford and Callum Wilson start in attack with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropping down to the bench. The Manchester United striker is  made the captain as his side has a home game against Brighton.

Huddersfield will look to gain something from Manchester City’s visit as they aim to push out of the relegation zone while Liverpool would face Crystal Palace in the Anfield. High-flying Manchester United welcome Brighton to Old Trafford to maintain their winning streak while Fulham visit Spurs. The match of the week will feature Arsenal against Chelsea with the former hoping for a win to maintain their fifth place.
