Ronaldo Oliveira and Andrus John scored in the first session to put the Greens in the driver seat, while, Saurabh Patel and Rowllin Almeida scored after changing the ends to book all three points for Salgaocar.
Panjim who had conceded nine goals in the last two matches against Sporting Clube de Goa and Dempo SC started the match on attacking note as they came with two promising attacks early in the match.
As first, Jaison Fernandes was brilliantly fed by Daryl Costa with a cross from the right flank but the lad saw his right-footer rebound off the crossbar. While another chance went into the vain for the Capital city side in the 18th minutes when Daryl’s powerful shot from inside the box was brilliantly tipped by Salgaocar custodian Jaison D’Mello.
Whereas, Salgaocar who registered their fifth win in the league against Vasco SC in the last match opened their tally in the very next minute from the swift attack when Andrus made a run on the right flank and found unmarked Ronaldo with a cross. It was just five more minutes from the last goal when the Greens extended their lead as this time Andrus who assisted in the first goal shot past Panjim keeper Sherwin Da Cunha from inside the box, off Samuel Costa’s perfect through pass to make it 2-0.

Salgaocar took just five minutes after changing the ends to inflate their lead as a perfect cross by Sanson Pereira was smartly slotted in by Saurabh making it 3-0 for his side.
