The club became the first Kashmir-based outfit to have undertaken consecutive overseas tours to Scotland and Germany.
I-League Second Division champions Real Kashmir will visit Germany for a training stint at renowned Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund, the club confirmed earlier this week.
The club released a statement saying, “We were the first team to play in Scotland. We are now the first youth team from Kashmir to visit Germany for a training camp.” Furthermore, the club expressed its gratitude towards the German side saying, “We also want to thank Borussia Dortmund for giving a small club like Real Kashmir FC an opportunity to visit them and train at their football school.”
Club owner Sandeep Chattoo told the The Times of India, “It is just the beginning. We want Real Kashmir to be what Barcelona is to Spain and what United is for Manchester and what BVB is to the city of Dortmund."
"We want every kid of the state who loves to play football, either aspire to play for Real Kashmir FC or become a supporter by default.”
"The club is aiming to expand their community and constantly working towards providing opportunities for the talented youngsters in the Kashmir valley," he added.
