Indian Player Ratings: Goalkeepers shine as Sehnaj's red card spoils impressive Mumbai show
(Courtesy : ISL Media)
Despite the scoreline the visitors looked likely to snatch three points even after going a man down in the second half.
Carles Cuadrat would be thanking his lucky stars that his team escaped this game with only a draw. Jorge Costa's Mumbai City FC were easily the better side and looked potent even when Sehnaj Singh was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence. The former Porto man should not have any cause for complaint on both of Sehnaj's fouls, but it would be the quality of the finishing that would have frustrated him the most.

His team owe him a great deal for keeping their unbeaten record intact
A commanding performance from the Bengaluru FC custodian kept a rampant Mumbai side at bay on multiple occasions. His defence let him down and he was often disappointed at how the backline allowed so much space to be given to the likes of Rafael Bastos, Arnold Issoko and Modou Sougou. His team owe him a great deal for keeping their unbeaten record intact.
Nishu Kumar- 5.0
Was played strangely at right-back to ensure the more defensively solid Rahul Bheke was charged to keep an eye on Issoko. Lost his man Bastos on more than one occassion and also caused confusion between himself and Gurpreet on what to do with stray crosses. Was hauled off in the second half for Semboi Haokip. Has had better games in a BFC shirt.
Rahul Bheke- 5.5
Played at left-back to keep an eye on Issoko, but backed off on too many occassions, as Costa's side pummeled that flank and also saw Sougou's equaliser coming in from this flank. Was on hand to supply a peach of a cross for Udanta's header. Was shifted to his familiar right-back position in the second half, as Cuadrat looked to shake things up.
Harmanjot Khabra- 6.0
Got stuck into the game at times, but Paulo Machado and Sehnaj ran the show and their dominance showed, as the visitors fashioned the more threatening chances. Was left frustrated at times and was hauled off for Kean Lewis in the second half.
Udanta Singh- 6.5
Beat the giant Lucian Goian for a superb header to open the scoring in the first half and was genuinely surprised at his own effort. Faded in the second, as former teammate Subhasish Bose limited his influence on proceedings.
Sunil Chhetri- 6.5

His influence was low by his standards
Was expertly marked out of the game and his influence was low by his standards. Thought he had scored when his swerving shot was well saved by a diving Amrinder Singh. Would have wanted the three points, but will definitely know that his team was second best.
Substitutions
Semboi Haokip- 5.5
Was brought on for the ineffective Nishu Kumar as he looked to inject some pace into the team, but it proved to be of no effect as the scoreline remained the same.
Kean Lewis- 5.5
Brought on for the sub-par Khabra and tried to stretch the defence with his pace, but could not exert his influence on the game.

Amrinder made a brilliant save from a swerving Chhetri shot
Was a good return to his former stomping ground, as he kept his former side at bay with some excellent saves. His one-handed diving save from a swerving Chhetri shot was one of the highlights of the game.
Subhashish Bose- 6.0
Another former Blue showed his versatility on the left flank and kept Udanta on a leash. His defensive solidity closed down numerous avenues for the home side to attack from the right flank.
Joyner Lourenco- 6.0
Put in a solid shift in the center of defence alongside Goian. Jorge Costa would be very happy with his defenders' performance and would look for more such displays from the Goan.
Sauvik Chakrabarti- 6.0
Another star performer in the defence as he had the tough task of negating Chhetri, which he did with aplomb. With the exception of losing his marker for Bheke's cross for the goal, he did his job well.
Sehnaj Singh- 4.0

Fortunately for him, his exit did little to deter the visitors from putting on a solid attacking performance
His intent in unsettling the Bengaluru midfield and disrupting Dimas Delgado's influence went a bit far, as he was booked for 2 clear offences and rightfully sent off. Fortunately for him, his exit did little to deter the visitors from putting on a solid attacking performance.
Raynier Fernandes- 5.5
Played well in the hole behind Sougou and linked-up nicely with the wide forwards and kept the central defenders busy with his runs into the box. Jorge Costa would be proud of this performance from the 22-year-old.
