Official: Jamshedpur FC sign Australian legend and superstar Tim Cahill

Earlier this week, Khel Now had exclusively reported that Australian legend Tim Cahill is set to sign for Indian Super League (ISL outfit Jamshedpur FC ahead of the upcoming season. The story made waves across the world with many publications in Australia and the UK claiming the midfielder was instead keen to stay on in the MLS. We are pleased to say that this morning the club have confirmed the signing of the Aussie ace. The news also reaffirms Khel Now's position as your #1 destination for all things Indian football.
In the biggest coup of the ISL season yet, Jamshedpur FC have announced the arrival of Aussie legend Tim Cahill. The 38-year-old plays as an attacking midfielder but, has also played as a forward on several occasions. A box-to-box midfielder, Cahill has become recognised for his aggressive and powerful approach and his ability to head the ball in the penalty area. Cahill comes with a lot of rich footballing experience having scored 168 goals in 694 club appearances in his illustrious career. The Aussie played long spells for Premier League heavyweights Everton and Championship club Millwall.
Later, he went on to play for New York Redbulls in the MLS, Shanghai Shenhua & Hangzhou Greentown in CSL and Melbourne City in A-League. Cahill is also the all-time leading goal scorer for the Socceroos, having scored 50 goals in 107 international caps between 2004 and 2018. He was the first Australian to score at a FIFA World Cup and has played in four World Cups (2006, 2010, 2014 & 2018). 5 World Cup goals. In 2007, he also became the first Australian to score at an AFC Asian Cup and was part of the 2015 squad that won the coveted tournament.
