The Egyptian admits to have a dream of lifting the Champions League trophy but could give up for the Premier League.

Liverpool's star player Mohamed Salah has admitted that his dream is to lift the coveted UEFA Champions League but insists that he is willing to give up his childhood dream to give the city of Liverpool what they desire.

The Reds are running strong in two major competition with the Egyptian admitting that he prefers the European trophy over the Premier League. Liverpool will play in Munich on 13th March. Bayern Munich and the Reds are tied with a goalless aggregate.

A Premier League and a UCL double is on cards for Liverpool as they are trailing with just a point to Manchester City in the league.

"I will be honest with you, the most prestigious competition for me is the Champions League," Salah told Sky Sports.

"But the dream for the entire city and the club is the league. So, I am happy to sacrifice my dream for their dream but if we win both that would great and this is what we are trying to do."

The 26-year-old forward has not been performing well lately and has not scored in the last five matches in all competitions.

"The competition is very tough and we have difficult games left as do they," he added.

"All you can do is win your games and hopefully they will fail in one so we can win the title. My mind is sharp and there is pressure but I am strong mentally and we just have to keep going. We will see what we can do at the end of the season but mentally I am ready for everything," he said.

Mohamed Salah played his first ever UEFA Champions League final with Liverpool in May 2018 but a shoulder injury restricted his game time on the pitch.

The Egyptian was a bit off colour during the start of the season but now has witnessed a dip in form, having scored the last goal at the start of February.
