The former Southampton player is the younger brother of former England international Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Former Manchester City forward Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his 100th goal in Major League Soccer for New York Red Bulls on Thursday. Wright-Phillips scored in the second minute of the game against DC United.
The 33-year-old striker, who wears #99, celebrated the feat by revealing the jersey he wore underneath and having written 100 on it because of the occasion. Wright-Phillips also became the fastest to reach the milestone of 100 MLS goals. The former Southampton striker took 15 games lesser than the previous fastest player (Taylor Twellman scored 100 in 174 games) to reach 100 goals in MLS.

Considered by many as the greatest striker to have played in the US top division, Wright-Phillips is only the 11th player to reach the milestone since the competition started. He played for Manchester City, Southampton, Plymouth Argyle, Charlton Athletic and Brentford before finally moving to the USA.
After not liking his initial days in the MLS, during which he didn't 'respect' the league, the former England U-20 international has established himself as the biggest star of the league. By reaching the milestone, BWP (his byname) has further cemented his status as the best forward in the league.

He is one of the only two players ever to score 15+ goals in four successive seasons in the MLS. LA Galaxy's Robbie Keane is the other player. The English striker is also a two-time MLS Golden Boot winner. The forward has a better scoring rate than all other English forwards playing in the top five European leagues. Harry Kane, obviously, is an exception.
Wanted to do this ever since I saw you break the record at Arsenal ????❤️ https://t.co/DNGKETtiE0

Son of the former legendary Arsenal striker Ian Wright, Wright-Phillips didn't forget to thank the people around him. The NY Red Bulls striker tweeted, "You don't score 100 league goals without great teammates, past and present, top-class coaching staff and a supportive family, so I want to thank you all."
So proud of you @BWPNINENINE ❤️❤️❤️???????????? What a moment! This journey started as trial and today you have written your name in the @MLS history books ???????????????????? @NewYorkRedBulls #100club pic.twitter.com/SPUtfsF0iz
