I don't have any doubt about that- Marco Silva on Everton board's backing
It has been more than a month since the Toffees have registered a win.
Everton are through with the long-running feud with Watford over Marco Silva's compensation as he shifted his base from Vicarage Road to the Goodison Park in summer 2018. But Silva is now struggling to produce results to secure his future at the Toffees.
Silva admitted that their game against Cardiff City is a must-win game as he insists that he has the backing of his board. “I met [Moshiri] but it is not the first time, will not be the last one,” said Silva.
“It is something you do often, not just because we had the break. Fortunately for us we can meet. It is something you can do easy, something every time we have the time to, we do. Not just with our owner, with our chairman too," said the coach.
Everton are on a three-game losing streak and the pressure is mounting on the Portuguese manager.
“Yes good talks of course. I am the first one to understand about the results, but we are talking about the present, the future also, and he passed to me and for our players also the confidence he has in our work and the players we have, and also like me he believes he can achieve the results in the next games," he said.
Silva continued, “Since I joined the club I felt all the support of our board, our owner, the chairman also. And nothing changed. All the managers they have to show results and show why the club signed with him. To show the project, to show the idea, but in the end the main thing will be the results. I don't have any doubt about that.”

Currently, Everton are hanging in the middle of the table at the 11th position with just 33 points. Silva's former club Watford are better off him as they are cruising just below the domination of the Big Six.
Silva insists that he does not feel any additional pressure, particularly with a rocky patch of fixtures ahead.

I'm the first one to put pressure in my job. I am the first one to say I am not happy with our results and our form, like no one in our club is happy - our players, our fans, our board."
Everton will play Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham United in their next five fixtures.
