The Brazilian is currently in Italy, plying his trade for Juventus.

Manchester United finally handed the wheel to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by appointing him as the permanent manager for the next three years on Thursday morning. The Norwegian churned out wonderful results in his short reign as the interim manager and secured the most deserved promotion.

Ole started his proper managerial career at Old Trafford with a 2-1 win last night against Watford. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both scored for United before Watford's Doucoure pulled one back in the dying moments of the game.

It is believed that the new manager will surely get a free hand in the upcoming summer transfer window by the board, as Manchester United are keen to add more depth and strength to the side by signing big players. As per Italian media outlet Tuttosport, the Red Devils have identified Brazilian attacking midfielder, Douglas Costa as their first target of the summer.

The Brazilian is having an offseason so far having scored only one goal in 17 games he has played this season. The midfielder is currently recovering from a thigh injury he picked a couple of months ago.

Tuttosport also reports that Manchester United are not alone in the pursuit of 28-year-old Juventus midfielder as their rivals Manchester City and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain have also shown major interest in the player. It is reported that the Turin based side is about to start a bidding war to raise Costa's price in the upcoming summer transfer window.

After yesterdays game, Manchester United currently sits on 4th position with 61 points from 31 games. The Old Trafford side will play Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday 3rd April before hosting Barcelona for the first leg of UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals on 11th April.
