It’s like new energy, new blood came in- Zlatan on Paul Pogba
The Swede teamed up with the Frenchman for a short period of time in England.
The former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that record signing of the club Paul Pogba never had the confidence of their former manager Jose Mourinho. The revelation comes after the striker's former teammate Wayne Rooney commented in the same tangent regarding the much controversial Pogba-Mourinho relationship.
It was not hidden from the public that a number of players had issues with Jose with Paul always staying in the limelight for the same. There were heavily in the news after a training ground bust-up in September.
And as the time came near for Jose's departure, he had stopped fielding Paul.
"There are these players that need to be free, they need to feel free to do what they are able to do under the disciple of the coach," Ibrahimovic told ESPN. "Obviously, he has his tactics, he has that, but some players they go above these limits, and you need to let them be free, and I think Paul [Pogba] is one of them."
As reported by Mirror, he continued, "Paul didn’t feel confidence from the coach, and the coach didn’t feel confidence for Paul. It’s difficult to perform as a player if you don’t have confidence from the coach and you don’t have that energy, that motivation, and Jose felt the same thing about Paul."

Zlatan joined Manchester United in 2016, being one of four signings of Jose at Old Trafford.
"These things happen, and that is part of the game also; I mean, not everybody can go among each other and do well together. I feel like you come to a moment where it is too blocked and one goes or the other one goes. At this moment, the coach left, and Paul is more free now," Zlatan added.
Pogba has scored five goals since the departure of the Portuguese.
"We are seeing [a] more happy Paul, more free Paul, more ‘do whatever you want to do,’ and he is succeeding with things now," added Ibrahimovic.

And we know who Pogba is, and this is the Pogba we are seeing. When you play, happiness is very important, because when you feel stuck in a situation, you don’t express yourself 100 percent and play 100 percent."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was earlier linked with AC Milan for a short six-month stint in this winter window but the deal could not take off. He insists now that he is determined to stay with LA Galaxy.
