The Wolves sit at the 7th position with their last league game yet to go.

Raul Jimenez is grateful to the fans of Wolverhampton Wanderers for the support they have shown to the Mexican international. Wolves signed Raul Jimenez on loan from Benfica during the summer transfer window of 2018. The Mexican since then netted 13 times for the Wolves in the Premier League.

The Mexican earlier this week was joined by the fellow national icon and WWE wrestler Sin Cara. Sin Cara introduced the players on to the pitch before the game against Fulham which the Wolves won 1-0 to further strengthen their case for a seventh position finish this season.

The Mexican forward looked to be very content with how the team has been performing throughout the season. In an interview with the Wolves' official website, he expressed his thoughts on the season.

“It’s always good to win these kinds of matches and it’s brilliant to finish the season like this."

“It’s been amazing, and I like being here very much. I’m very happy to be part of this history and I hope the next year can be the same or even better than this one,” Raul stated.

The seventh position has seen multiple teams fighting for it, but Wolves have a strong possibility of getting there, though they would be looking at Manchester City for doing them a favour by beating Leicester City another contender for the seventh place.

Looking back at how their season progressed and how the Wolves surpass their expectations, Jimenez said, “At the beginning of the season, maybe no-one felt that it’s going to happen this."

“But now, here we are, and we need Manchester City to beat Leicester City FC, but this is our moment and we have to enjoy it.”

Finally, the Mexican congratulated the fans for the team's performances and thanked them for the support.

“All the supporters have been amazing throughout the season and I’m very proud of them. We are very happy for all the support, throughout the season, from these amazing people."

“I have no words to describe the songs they sing about me. When I was young I used to hear the fans singing the names of the other players in the stands. Now it’s my turn and I’m very happy for that.”
