I think now it's very difficult to talk about this- Antonio Conte on signing Romelu Lukaku

The Italian tactician has been a long-time admirer of the frontman and was keen to sign him during his time in England.
Inter Milan announced the appointment of manager Antonio Conte in the early hours of 31st May 2019 as their head coach, signing a three-year deal. And now it is reported that Conte has not wasted any time in building his team. Reports suggest that the former Chelsea manager is keen on signing Romelu Lukaku, the one player he wanted to have during his time in England with Chelsea.
Conte, just after the appointment, told BBC, "I think now it's very difficult to talk about this. For sure, we have a plan to try to improve the team. But it will be very important for the players, it will be very important to have a great will and great ambition, me the players and the club, to try to reduce this gap.
The rumours of linking Lukaku and Inter have been in the market since the end of the Premier League season, with numerous sources confirming that the Belgian striker has agreed to the terms by the Serie A club.
Conte said, "Have Inter met with Lukaku? No, that's not right, but in this moment there is a sporting director to talk about this and do this question about the transfer market, about the players. But I repeat: Now we are very focused to do the first step and to work together."
Manchester United officials have told striker Romelu Lukaku that he is free to leave the club.Thoughts? ????[Source: The Sun ✍ ] pic.twitter.com/Gbx0Ynuk6J
