The Gaurs booked a spot in the quarterfinals with the win against the AIFF development side.
FC Goa proved to be too big an opponent for Indian Arrows as the runners up of ISL coasted through the pre-quarters of Indian Super Cup 2019. Indian Arrows gifted two goals to the winner via a penalty from Ferran Corominas conceded by Sanjeev Stalin and an own goal from Deepak Tangri.
Hugo Boumous completed the rout with a beautiful goal rounding the Arrows goalkeeper Gill as a helpless Anwar Ali could only slide in inconsequently. The result temporarily halts the Arrows brilliant season giving fans a lot more to look forward from the young bunch of Indian footballers.
Here are the Indian players' ratings from the game.
Indian Arrows
Prabhsukhan Gill: 5.5
Arrows kept the score line at 3, all thanks to his safe hands. He had guessed the direction of the penalty right but was beaten by Coro at his right end. Hugo Boumous rounded Gill for the second goal and a could have been inconsequential positioning error resulted in the third goal.
Boris Thangjam: 6.0
Kept testing the Goandefence from the left wing with his skill and trickery on the ball but Goan defenders always had him outnumbered and in check, closing his passing lanes.
Anwar Ali: 6.5
Was defensively sound and kept Coro in check for most of the match. He kept splitting the Goan midfield block with his through balls but was failed by his teammates. He was seen as a helpless spectator in Goa’s second goal. Send in a vicious free-kick at the end of the match but no player could find their head to meet it
Narender: 5.0
Had the chance to get Arrows level at 1-0 but failed to find the back of the net with a free header from a free kick. Failed to influence the contest during the majority of the game.
Suresh Wangjam: 6.0
Suresh was at the receiving end of Goa’s physicality numerous time, winning fouls at the center of the park. Failed to produce anything particularly noteful.
Ninthoinganba Meitei: 7.0
Tested the Goan defense with his flair and ball-winning ability at the edge of the box. Was denied at close range by Nawaz with a brilliant save which was the best chance for Arrows in the entire game.
Amarjit Kiyam: 6.5
The captain completed his 1800th minute for the Arrows this season with today’s appearance. Had a good game defensively regaining possession at the center of the pitch but lacked the vision to move the ball forward giving away the ball without much pressure.
Asish Rai: 4.5
Proved to be the nervous lot amongst the Arrows giving away fouls at the right end of Arrows’ defense. All three goals came from his wing, displaying the lack of concentration he showed throughout the match. A very forgettable game for the 20-year-old.
Sanjeev Stalin: 3.5
Had a nightmare of a game by conceding the penalty for a handball resulting in Goa’s first goal. Received a yellow card for the same offense and was subsequently subbed off for Rahul KP in the 37th minute of the match.
Deepak Tangri: 5.0
If not for the unfortunate error leading to the own goal, Deepak had a decent game. Kept dropping back to sit between the center backs at times to shield the defense. But the youngster was caught sleeping for a Brandon Fernandes corner, turning the ball into his own net under zero pressure from the Goan players.
Rohit Danu: 5.0
A silent spectator to the game, Rohit was a no show for the majority of the contest. Was eventually subbed off for Ridge Demello.
Substitutes
KP Rahul: 6.0
Was brought in for Sanjeev Stalin, but played in the middle of the park for most the match. He did not make the most of his chances and displayed a lack of clinical edge
Ridge Demello: 5.0
Brought in for the lethargic Rohit Danu, but failed to make his presence felt during the last few minutes.

FC Goa
Mohammad Nawaz: 7.0
One of his best games for the Gaurs. The youngster kept a well-deserved clean sheet against a vibrant Indian Arrows side. Denied Meetei at close range in the second half and Narender in the first half to keep the game in Goa’s hand. Looked nervous when the Arrows forwards pressed him, otherwise a game for him to remember.
Chinglensana Singh: 5.0
Had a tough time dealing with vibrant Arrows forward line, was constantly outplayed by the young side’s attack, failing to stop penetrations on several occasions.
Jackichand Singh: 5.0
The Indian winger was uncharacteristically wasteful on the right wing for Goa for most of the match and even missed a one on one with Gill, placing the ball wide. His pace was a constant source of attack but failed to produce concrete forays.
Seriton Fernandes: 8.0
He continued his fine run of form from the Indian Super League. Was everywhere on the right side of Goan defense to deal with the Arrows attacks. He neutralized every one of the Arrows attacks, throwing bodies at shots and confidently went for tackles.
Saviour Gama: 7.0
Brilliant performance from the youngster to keep a check on the Arrows’ right winger. Received an yellow card for a late tackle towards the end of the game and walked off with a knock from the challenge.
Lenny Rodrigues: 6.5
Had 2 chances at the goal from outside the box but ended up skying it. Was a silent controller of the game otherwise.
Substitutes
Liston Colaco: 6.0
Was brought in as a substitute for a tired Zaid Krouch. Didn’t have a chance to impact the game.
Brandon Fernandes: 6.5
Was involved in the thick of things, creating a chance for Manvir who missed the post.
