The players and coaches are not just remembered for their game or tactics but some of them leave a mark on our minds for their views and media antics far off the field. This Indian season has seen quite a few quotes by coaches and players which received a lot of attention. From lauding the fans to praising youngsters, they have said it all.

Ranko Popovic became a new addition to the list of the admirers of India's very own star Sunil Chhetri. The Bengaluru FC's captain scored a stunning hat-trick to knock Popovic's side out of ISL 2017-18. The national captain has displayed stunning performances time and again be it with national side or with clubs he played for. The Indian talisman has 56 goals with just 96 caps and is India's all-time top scorer.

The 24-year-old NEROCA defender lauded India's development in football. India is rushing towards marking itself out in world football's map and all we need is proper facilities. The I-League falling completely under the AIFF has lacked basic facilities. Aryn William who has spent notable time in the Australian A-League believes that the Indian leagues, especially the I-League, can match up to Australian standards, if we focus more on the facilities provided to the players.
