Everybody talks about Tottenham stadium like it's something special- Kevin De Bruyne
The Lilywhites and the Cityzens will play their first leg in the European competition at the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has played down the talks of the impact the new stadium of Tottenham Hotspur will have on the Champions League clash between the two sides. The two sides play the first leg of the quarterfinal on Tuesday.
Tottenham have already savoured what a victory feels like at their new stadium, having beaten Crystal Palace 2-0. However, De Bruyne feels that playing at their new stadium would not be any different from playing at Wembley and that they are the same team with no added threat.
"I don't care about the stadium," said the Belgian. "I care about the team we play.
"Everybody talks about the stadium like it's something special. Everybody has a stadium, everybody has supporters.
"They'll be up for it, they'll probably be a little bit more excited, but in the end, it's a stadium with supporters. I don't think there will be any difference.
"If they go to Wembley with 80,000 or are there with 62,000, it's going to be the same. It'll be a tough game but I think we'll be all right."
Manchester City, desperate to taste what success on European nights feel like, have been left red-faced both the seasons they played under Guardiola. The Citizens have been shown the door both the seasons under the Blaugrana tactician.

A 3-1 away defeat to Monaco from the hands of a Kylian Mbappe inspired side was enough for the Guardiola's men to be eliminated from the round of 16. Premier League rivals Liverpool did the same to them in the next season in the quarter-finals.
But for Kevin De Bruyne, there's nothing to be learned from those defeats.
"Nothing," he said. "Different team, different year, different players. Last year we had a great season but we didn't make it beyond the quarter-finals and that's it."
Manchester City come into the game after winning the FA Cup semifinals against Brighton and Hove Albion but the boss Guardiola has already played down the talks of a possible quadruple, and now De Bruyne does the same.

"We don't even have time to have a rest ourselves so how can we think about what's going to happen in four weeks? We're just going to play Tuesday and then hopefully play a good game."
