The players had a lot of fun against Iceland- Didier Deschamps
The reigning world champions have scored eight goals in the two qualifiers as of now.
France ran amok against Iceland as they scored four goals past Iceland. They have now earned six points from the first two UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying games and the French manager, Didier Deschamps insists that team had 'a lot of fun' against Iceland.
France have scored eight goals in the two games in this international break, the first four goals against Moldova and another against Iceland.
There were four different scorers for France. Defender Samuel Umtiti opened the scoring at the 12th-minute mark and the other three came in the second half in a span of 24 minutes.
"They left more space when they got fatigued and we used that," head coach Deschamps told M6.
"We found more openings in the second period even if our start in the second half was not our best. It is never easy with well-organised teams, but I enjoyed watching them play," the coach said.
He added, "The atmosphere was beautiful. The players had a lot of fun playing this game."
In amidst of everything, Olivier Giroud - who failed to register even a single shot on target in the FIFA World Cup 2018 title triumph, scored a goal to take his international tally to 35 goals, being behind only to Michel Platini and Thierry Henry.

Along with France, Turkey are also on six points after the first phase of the qualifiers. They both will face off on 8th June which the French superstar Antonio Griezmann insists that the team will be well prepared for.
"It was important to take six points," the Atletico Madrid star told reporters.
"Now we're well placed. We are confident, no matter the amount of goals we score every game. The most important thing is to take three points and we did it twice, so we are very happy," he said.

The 16th edition of the European Championship will be played at several destinations, not binding to be played in a particular host nation. This means that there are no automatic qualifications.
