At the other end, Velsao doubled the account when Janio Fernandes’ back was intercepted by Romario Da Costa and the lad’s shot landed in the goal despite brushing off Panjim goalkeeper’s arm.
In the second half, Panjim Footballers coach Anthony Vaz made a tactical switch brining on Mahesh Kumar for Lakesh Gawas and the move paid off as Panjim played better football. Panjim Footballers had a good chance to pull back a goal. Alston Camotio who ran down the right flank, shot straight at the keeper but the rebound fell to Llyod Cardozo who headed wide.
However, they soon scored in the 58th minute through Alston who scored from the left wing with a power packed strike.
Panjim Footballers made it all square at the hour mark when Llyod tapped in a simple cross from Joyson, 2-2. Later, Shubham Rao Desai crossed to Laiwang Bohham but he headed wide.
