Their best-ever finish is second losing to Australia by a small margin (1-2) in the 1986 edition and also as the hosts. Since the 2010 edition, England reached the semi-finals on all three occasions but couldn't qualify for the final and finished in the fourth spot.
Recently England clinched the bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and also currently occupies the first spot with nine points (four matches) in the FIH men’s hockey pro league.
