FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2023: Updated knockout round fixtures and schedule
The final of the tournament will take place on January 29.
The knockout stages of the FIH men’s Hockey World Cup are set to begin on 22 January (Sunday) with the crossover matches. The teams that finished second and third in the pools will play the Crossovers, while the toppers from the pool stages have progressed directly into the quarter-finals. The winners of the group stages - Australia, Belgium, Netherlands, and England will compete against the winners of the crossover matches in the final eight stage. India were the favourites to top pool D but finished second behind England due to an inferior goal difference. The Men in Blue will now face New Zealand in the Crossovers. The winner of this clash will take on Olympic gold medallist Belgium in the quarter-finals. In the other pre quarter-final matches, Pan-American champions Argentina will take on South Korea with the winner taking on the Netherlands while Germany will play France with the winner between them facing England.
