The FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League 2022-23 is the fourth edition of the prestigious tournament, a men’s national team field hockey championship. The tournament will run from October 2022 to July 2023.
It is a relatively new tournament in the field hockey world, and the competition’s first season was held in 2019. The Pro League is a qualifying tournament for field hockey’s two major tournaments, the World Cup and the Olympics.
Here in this article, let us take a look at the top goalscorers from the 202-233 FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League.
10. Nathan Ephraums – 3 goals
Nathan Ephraums is an Australian forward who plays in the field hockey league. In 2018, Ephraums made his Australian Hockey League debut for the VIC Vikings.
He then made two more appearances in 2018, this time at the Sultan of Johor Cup, where he won a bronze medal, and in 2019 at an eight-nation tournament in Spain. In the FIH Men’s Pro League 2022-23, he scored overall 3 goals in six matches.
9. Pere Amat- 3 goals
Pere Amat, a Spanish field hockey team striker, is only 18. In 2022, the rookie was promoted to the first team to compete in the 2021-22 Professional League.
During the FIH Men’s Pro League, Pere Amat has appeared in four matches. But in these four games, Pere scored three goals, and every goal was shot from the field goal. The 18-year-old Spanish player is ranked among the top ten goalscorers in the tournament.
8. Abhishek – 3 goals
Abhishek is an Indian field hockey forward player. In February 2022, he debuted on the international stage for India in the Men’s FIH Pro League 2021-22. Today, Abhishek, who wears No. 5 for India, is establishing himself as an essential member of the Indian senior team.
He made his senior debut in the previous FIH Pro League season and has started in the first XI in eight matches this season. In those eight appearances, Abhishek scored three goals, each field goal.
7. Sukhjeet Singh – 4 goals
Sukhjeet Singh was overjoyed when he received his first-ever call-up to the Senior National camp in 2018. But, as fate would have it, he severely injured his back during a routine recovery process and was eventually left out of the national camp’s core group of 33.
In the years that followed, he required great grit and determination to claw his way back into the game. Sukhjeet made his debut for India in the recent FIH Hockey Pro League. At this year’s FIH Men’s Pro League, Sukhjeet Singh scored overall four field goals in eight matches.
6. Marc Miralles – 4 goals
Marc Miralles is a Spanish field hockey midfielder who plays for Real Club de Polo in the División de Honor and for the national team. When the lineup for season three of the FIH Pro League was declared in 2022, Miralles was designated as a co-captain of the team.
He debuted in the 2023 Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup. Overall, Marc Miralles has struck 4 goals across the net, including 3 from the penalty corner in his 8 matches of the FIH Men’s Pro League 2022-23.
5. Maico Casella – 4 goals
Maico Casella plays field hockey for Argentina. In 2018, he made his Argentine men’s field hockey debut, and Casella has 31 goals in 107 matches for Argentina.
Casella is currently the FIH Men’s Pro League’s fifth-highest goalscorer. He has four goals in 10 appearances in the 2023 FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League, three of which came from penalty corners.
4. Selvam Karthi – 5 goals
Selvam Karthi is a forward in the Indian men’s field hockey team. He played for India in the 2022 Asia Cup. In May 2022, he was named in India’s Asia Cup squad. He and Mareeswaran Sakthivel were the first Tamil Nadu players to be selected for the Indian national team in 13 years.
In the FIH 2022-23 FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League, Karthi served five goals in as many matches. Given the statistics, he has the fourth highest goals this season.
3. Marc Reyne – 6 goals
Marc Reyne is a Spanish field hockey player representing Real Club de Polo in the División de Honor and the Spain national team. He was also named to the Spanish squad for the 2023 Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup, his first FIH Hockey World Cup appearance.
In eight tournament appearances in the ongoing FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League, he scored six goals. It included five field goals and one penalty corner goal.

2. Alexander Hendrickx – 6 goals
Since the inception of the FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League, Alexander Hendrickx has scored the most goals. Since 2012, he has represented Belgium. He has made 139 appearances and scored 50 goals for Belgium.
However, he leads the FIH Hockey Pro League in goals scored with 34 since the league’s inception. Hendrickx has scored six goals in only four games in the ongoing edition of FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League 2022-23. Five of these goals came from penalty corners.
1. Harmanpreet Singh – 11 goals
Harmanpreet Singh plays field hockey for India. He made his Indian national hockey team debut as a defender in 2015. Harmanpreet is also the team captain. He has played in 173 matches for India, scoring 135 goals.
Harmanpreet has a total of 32 goals in the FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League. He is currently the leading scorer in the ongoing pro league, having scored 11 goals in only eight appearances.
