Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 4 Updated Results and Medal Tally: Shushila, Vijay, Harjinder add medals to India's name

There were several reasons for Indian fans to celebrate a fruitful day.

The Indian contingent is picking up the pace at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. While the competition is high, Indian athletes are trying to find an extra gear to win a maximum number of medals for the country. There was history in the making when the Women’s Team in Lawn Bowls reached the final and secured a first-ever medal in this particular discipline.

Shushila Devi Likmabam won silver while Vijay Kumar Yadav won bronze in judo on Monday. In Weightlifting, Harjinder Kaur won bronze medal in the 71kg category. Indian men’s hockey team played an exciting draw with England in field hockey. Saurav Ghosal advanced further in his bracket in squash. There were positives from boxing as well while Pranati Nayak came close in the final of Women’s Vault. The Indian men's team in Table Tennis and Badninton mixed team also reached the finals in their respective events,
