Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 7 Updated Results & Medal Tally: Para lifter Sudhir wins historic Gold, Sreeshankar bags Silver in Long Jump

There were several impressive performances by the Indian athletes on the day.

There are a lot of eyes on the Indian contingent at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Having added four bronze and one silver medal on Day 6, India clinched a historic gold in men's para powerlifting courtesy Sudhir on Thursday. They also added another silver on Thursday with Sreeshankar clinching a historic silver in Long Jump. Boxers Amit Panghal, Jaismine Lamboria, Sagar Ahlawat and Rohit Tokas also secured medals after reaching the semifinals in their respective categories. There were plenty other positive results from the day’s action involving Indian athletes.

Noteworthy stars like Hima Das, PV Sindhu and more were also in action on a very eventful Day 7 for the Indian athletes at the Commonwealth Games. The Indian men’s hockey team took a significant step in the direction of securing a medal while there was doubles action to observe in the table tennis discipline.
