7:55 PM It was a day in which no athletes were able to breach the Olympic qualifying mark. Neither did any national record tumble.
7:50 PM Kajal takes the first spot with 2:23.73, Madhu comes second with 2:24.49 and Sonu finishes third clocking a timing of 2:28.64.
7:48 PM The final event of the day sees a 1-2-3 for Haryana in the women's 800m heptathlon.
7:40 PM Meanwhile at the Punjabi University ground, Kerala's Eldhose Paul bags gold in men's triple jump with a best effort of 16.58m. Karthik (16.54m) and Abdulla Aboobacker (16.26m) also from Kerala take the next two spots. The qualifying mark was 17.14m.
7:35 PM Women's 800m heptathlon will be the final event of the day.

7:17 PM 19-year-old Anu Kumar from Uttarakhand finishes second clocking 1:51.05. 2018 Asian Games Gold medalist Manjit Singh surprisingly finishes in third place with a timing of 1:51.44. The Olympic Qualifying mark was 1:45.20

7:12 PM Haryana's Krishan Kumar picks up a shock victory.
7:05 PM Some eye-catching performers will be in action in the next event, the men's 800m final.
7:02 PM Tamil Nadu's Nithin B comes second with 21.29 secs. The third place goes to Punjab's Lovepreet Singh after clocking 21.35 secs. The Olympic Qualification mark was 20.24 secs.
7:00 PM Kumarage achieves a timing of 21.16 secs.
6:59 PM Sri Lanka's Kaliga Kumarage wins the race.
6:58 PM The second heat of the men's 200m is underway.
6:55 PM Shashank Balwantrao Shinde from Chattisgarh finishes second with 21.97 secs. Tarandeep Singh from Punjab comes third with 22.24 secs. The Olympic Qualifying mark was 20.24 secs.
6:52 PM Nalubothu Shanumaga Srinivas of Andhra Pradesh wins the race, after clocking 21.36 secs.

6:40 PM Mohammed Fais from Kerala finishes second after clocking 14.34 secs. Punjab's Amrinder Singh Aulakh comes third with 14.48 secs. The Olympic Qualification mark was 13.32 secs.
6:35 PM Siddhanth from Maharashtra finishes in the top spot with a timing of 14.11 secs.
6:32 PM National record holder Siddhanth Umananda Thingalaya cruises to victory.

6:20 PM The most impressive performer at the recently concluded Indian Athletics Grand Prix 4 was shot putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor. He qualified for the Tokyo Olympics with a hefty throw of 21.49m. The 26-year-old’s previous best was 20.92m. In fact, Toor went past the qualifying mark of 21.10m with each of his four legal puts. Therefore, he became the 11th individual Indian track and field athlete to qualify for Tokyo 2020. Several players will be looking to repeat the same feat at the National Inter-State Athletics Championships.

The National Inter-State Athletics Championships, an Olympic qualifier, will be the last chance for Indian athletes to book their place in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. The events that are lined up for day three at the National Inter-State Athletics Championships today are 200m, 800m and 800m heptathlon for women while the men will participate in 110m hurdles, 200m and 800m.
Several high-profile names such as Dutee Chand, M Sreeshankar, Kamalpreet Kaur, Tajinderpal Singh Toor, Shivpal Singh, Muhammed Anas, Harmilan Bains, Annu Rani, Seema Punia and many others will be in action in the tournament. The 60th edition of the National Inter-State Athletics Championships will take place from June 25 to June 29 at the National Institute of Sports and the Punjabi University in Patiala.
