6:42 AM Wasn't just closing in, she's won it! PV Sindhu has won the all important first game in this tie. She can now breathe a little easier. However, the job is not done and she must continue in the same fashion. First set, 21-15 to Sindhu.

6:40 AM Women's Badminton Round of 16: The two played are using the dimensions of the court beautifully. Mia almost levelled things up with some clever work but her unforeseen errors have now seen Sindhu establish a late lead in the first game. Sindhu 19-15 Blichfeldt. Sindhu closing in on the first set.

6:39 AM Men's Hockey Pool A: Argentina's defence has been very compact in the first two quarters. However, Dilpreet Singh and Simranjeet Singh are finding themselves in very good areas around the Argentine goal. This could result in India taking the lead in the second half. The third quarter will begin in the next few minutes.

6:36 AM Women's Badminton Round of 16: Sindhu has done fantastically well to stay calm and believe in herself. Her confidence looks undeterred. She has dealt with the Dane's late push with control and is maintaining her lead. Sindhu 16 - 12 Blichfeldt.

6:28 AM Men's Hockey Pool A: All of a sudden, Argentina is looking limited to their own half as India is looking more dominating by every passing minute. Can they force a goal in? It will be a massive boost for Graham Reid's boys.

6:26 AM Men's Hockey Pool A: India on the front foot and make an attempt on the Argentine goal. However, the shot goes wide. Still 0-0.

6:25 AM An edgy start from Sindhu's standards. She drops two points, but then takes four. She hasn't been aggressive, but is forcing Blickfeldt to late pick ups.

6:24 AM Men's Hockey Pool A: Argentina looks like a different side in the second quarter. The Indians are looking cautious in handling the South Americans. Dilpreet Singh's chance in the first chance might come back to haunt India. Argentines are known for soaking up pressure well.
