Top five female players to win most Grand Slam singles matches

Only two players have managed to cross the 300-win mark at the mega tournaments.
The Grand Slams have always brought out the best in players. Women compete against the best to crown themselves queens of tennis. The more the trophies the more the glory. To win these trophies however the players have to win a stretch of seven tough matches. Moreover they also have to keep their rankings in order to get a direct entry.
Here are five female tennis players with most wins in Grand Slam singles matches.
5. Venus Williams (271)
Venus Williams might have come to the twilight of her career but is yet to hang up her boots. The older Williams sister is a 25-yearold veteran of the Grand Slams.
In her illustrious career, she has managed to win 271 matches on the Grand Slam stage. She also holds the record for the most number of appearances at the mega events at 90. Her last Grand Slam singles victory came at Wimbledon 2021. She defeated Romania's Mihaela Buzarnescu in three sets (7-5,4-6,6-3).
4. Steffi Graf (278)

Stefanie Maria Graf literally ruled the courts during her time. The 22-time Grand Slam champion won all the singles trophies in the book. She was equally dominant across all surfaces be it the hard courts grass or clay.
The German has an incredible win percentage across all the Slams. She has 278 wins with much fewer Grand Slam appearances compared to the others on this list. Her last win at the Grand Slams came at the 1999 Wimbledon. She defeated Mirjana Lucic in the semi final (6-7,6-4,6-3).
3. Chris Evert (299)
Chris Evert finished her glorious run at Grand Slams with 299 wins. The American won 18 of the mega tournaments courtesy of her impressive win record.
The most impressive part about this is the fact that she did it in a handful of appearances. She made just six appearances in the Australian Open. Even then she managed to win the title twice and play in the remaining finals. That's how good she was. Her stats are pretty much similar in every other Grand Slam as well.
Evert has never crashed out of the mega tournaments before the third round either.
2. Martina Navratilova (306)

Martina Navratilova has won every trophy in the book. She has won every Grand Slam in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. This is a record that will probably never be touched again.
Martina has won 306 matches in her Grand Slam singles career. She also made 67 appearances to achieve this feat. Though Martina went through a title drought (by her standards) after 1987 she still went onto play multiple finals and semi finals. Her last singles trophy win came in 1990 Wimbledon.
1. Serena Williams (365)
Serena Williams is the undisputed leader in most number of Grand Slam match wins. The younger Williams sister has won 365 matches so far and will be looking forward to adding to that tally.
She also holds the record for being the most succwessful female tennis player in history with 23 Grand Slam singles trophies, However the injury she suffered at last year's Wimbledon has put her in the sidelines. She won her last match against compatriot Danielle Rose Collins (6-4,6-4) at last year's French Open.
