Neeraj Chopra, Abhinav Bindra react as sports fraternity offers condolences, express grief over devastating train accident

Olympics gold medallists Neeraj Chopra and Abhinav Bindra, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and several others from the sports fraternity have expressed their grief over the tragical train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district that has so far claimed more than 250 lives and left over 900 people injured. The sports fraternity has offered their respects and condolences for the lost lives in the devastating accident.
The train collision, one of the country’s most fatal, occurred at 7 pm on Friday in the Balasore region, roughly 250 kilometers south of Kolkata and 170 kilometers north of Bhubaneswar, compelling the Railway Ministry to initiate an investigation. The collision involved three locomotives: the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, and a cargo train.
Following the horrible train accident in Odisha, Olympiacs gold medalists Neeraj Chopra and Abhinav Bindra, Indian football legend Bhaichung Bhutia and President of Hockey India Dilip Tirkey paid their respect to the demised people.
Neeraj Chopra took to social media and stated he woke up to learn about the horrible incident in Odisha, and his sympathies and prayers are with the victims’ friends and families.

The news of the catastrophe in Odisha devastated India’s first individual Olympic gold medalist, rifle shooter Abhinav Bindra.
“Heartbreaking news has emerged from Odisha regarding the devastating train accident. His heart goes out to all those affected and their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. He urges everyone to extend their support and prayers to them. May the injured recover swiftly,” Bindra tweeted.

The torchbearer of Indian football, Bhaichung Bhutia, was also deeply saddened by the news of the tragic train accident of the Coromandel Express in Balasore, Odisha. His heart went out to the victims and their affected families. The football legend prayed for strength and healing during this challenging time and urged everyone to stand together and support the affected.
