The LA Olympics 2028 will mark the return of few new sports in the summer games.
With the end of the Paris Olympics 2024, a lot is expected from LA Olympics 2028. With 1,428 days to go, the city of Los Angeles has already started the preparations for the Olympics. It will be the third time the summer Olympics will be held there after 1932 and 1984.
The Olympic Games are known for evolving with each edition, and the LA Olympics 2028 will continue this tradition by introducing two new sports. The inclusion of these sports is expected to attract more competitors and increase the overall popularity of the Games.
For nations that struggle to achieve results in traditional Olympic events, these new additions provide fresh opportunities to excel. The sports making their debut at the LA 2028 Olympics are yet another example of how the Games continue to expand and adapt, offering athletes from around the world new chances to compete on the global stage.
Squash
Squash, which was a demonstration sport at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, will make its official debut at the LA Olympics 2028, with medals on the line. Egypt, a dominant force in squash for decades, is expected to shine. The current Professional Squash Association (PSA) rankings have Egyptian players Nour El Sherbini and Ali Farag as the world No. 1 in the women’s and men’s rankings, respectively.
In fact, Egypt holds the top three spots in the women’s rankings and has five players in the men’s top ten. With such strong contenders, Egypt is likely to dominate the sport as it steps onto the Olympic stage in Los Angeles

Flag Football
Flag Football has been widely popular in the United States of America. It is a non contact sport played with five players on two teams. Team USA will be the top contenders for gold in men’s and women’s events.
They will face stiff competition from Mexico who in recent years have beaten the USA. The sport has been around for more than six decades and will finally see its athletes at the podium in LA Olympics 2028.
