The LA Olympics 2028 is set to exclude few events at the games.
The Los Angeles Olympics 2028 has already exciting announcements regarding the events planned for the games. There will be more than 50 sporting disciplines with over 800 events which will take place during the LA Olympics 2028. However there will be few events which will be excluded from the LA Olympics 2028 but were seen at the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024.
The Olympics has continuously seen different sports being part of the games. Few of them started as demonstration sports and were later added as a mainstream sport. On the other hand, it has also seen the absence of few sports.
The absence of one sport which was present at Paris Olympics 2024 has been confirmed at La Olympics 2028. There is also uncertainty of Amateur boxing being present at Los Angeles. The sport has seen multiple controversies which has led to its future being at risk.
Boxing events were conducted by the International Olympic committee (IOC) during Paris Olympics 2024 as the International Boxing Association was not recognized. The World Boxing organization was formed last year but still has not been officially recognized by the IOC. According to reports, Amateur boxing’s participation at the LA Olympics 2028 will be confirmed by 2025.
Which sport will miss participation at the LA Olympics 2028?
The LA Olympics 2028 has confirmed the absence of breaking or breakdancing among the events at the games. Breaking made its Olympic debut at Paris but has not found a place at the LA Olympics 2028.

The origins of breakdancing has been from the United States of America but sadly the fans will not be able to witness it at Los Angeles. American Victor Montalvo had won the bronze medal in the men’s breaking event. He will hope to campaign for the sport at home and encourage the fans to do the same.
Breaking saw the men’s and women’s event at Paris Olympics 2024. Canada’s Philip King won gold in the men’s event while Japan’s Ami Yuasa took gold in the women’s event. Both of them will not be able to defend their titles and will have to wait for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics or future editions of the summer games.
