Paris Olympics 2024: Which athletes from Indian Army will compete at Summer Games?

Indian Army will see women representatives for the first time at Summer Games.
Paris Olympics 2024 will see the Indian contingent sending 117 athletes. Among those athletes, 24 of them will be from the Indian Army. These athletes will also be joined by five officials from the Indian Army for various events.
Leading the army personnel would be defending Olympic champion in men’s javelin throw, Neeraj Chopra. There will be 13 representatives of the Indian Army in athletics, it is the highest for an event. Next will be archery where there are three army personnel and boxing with two.
There will be one army person each in rowing, wrestling, tennis, sailing and hockey. Of the 24 army personnel, there will be two women representatives. Reetika Hooda in women’s 76kg freestyle wrestling will be joined by Jaismine Lamboria in featherweight boxing.
Women from the Indian Army are competing for the first time at the Summer Olympics. They will be aiming to create more history during the Paris Olympics 2024. The rest of the 22 men too will hope to return victorious.

Tarundeep Rai will be the oldest army representative who will be competing at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 40-year-old will be participating in men’s individual and men’s team archery events.
