Paris Olympics 2024: India schedule for today Day 10 (August 5)
Lakshya Sen will play for bronze tomorrow.
Day 9 of Paris Olympics 2024 brought mixed fortunes for India’s athletes. In boxing, Lovlina Borgohain’s medal hopes ended with a 1-4 loss against top seed Li Qian. Badminton player Lakshya Sen also faced defeat, losing in straight games to Victor Axelsen, but will have another chance at a medal in the bronze match.
Shooter Maheshwari Chauhan narrowly missed qualifying for the final stage of her event. However, the men’s hockey team provided a bright spot, advancing to the semifinals for the second consecutive Olympics. This marks their first back-to-back Olympic semifinal appearance in 52 years, made more impressive by playing with only 10 men on the field.
On Day 10, Maheshwari and Naruka will be in action for the last shotgun medal change. Wrestling commences on Monday (August 5) in which India’s Nisha Dahiya will be in action. Vishnu Saravan and Nethra Kumanan will continue their races and Lakshya Sen will be fighting for a bronze medal against Lee Zii Jia.
In athletics, Kiran Pahal will be in action in the women’s 400m heats while India’s star steeplechaser Avinash Sable will also be in action.
Let’s look at India’s schedule for Day 10 at Paris Olympics 2024.
