It was a painful day for the Indian contingent after missing out on medals.

Indian challenge at Paris Olympics 2024 in France saw one of the most heartbreaking days on August 5 (Day 11). Lakshya Sen lost his bronze medal match against Malaysia’s Zii Jia Lee which ended the Indian badminton campaign, returning zero medals for the first time in the last 12 years. There were huge expectations on the shoulders of the 22-year-old who was physically tired and mentally exhausted after the loss.

There was a huge disappointment to digest from shooting too as the Indian mixed team lost the bronze medal match by a single point in the skeet event, coming extremely close to winning a fourth medal in the discipline at the Paris Olympics.

Another low in a day of lows saw Indian wrestler Nisha Dahiya get heartbreakingly eliminated in the quarterfinal in the Women’s Freestyle 68kg category. She was leading by 8-2 at one point but a subsequent injury derailed her performance and rhythm, causing her to lose the contest by an 8-10 score against her opponent.

Here is a look at the Indian results from Monday (August 5) at Paris Olympics 2024:
