Paris Olympics 2024: Which events will take place under the Eiffel Tower?

Athletes from few events will have a view of the Eiffel Tower and also pass by it.

The Paris Olympics 2024 will not only witness intense rivalry but also stunning landscapes. There will be one event which will take place with a full view of the Eiffel Tower. Beach volleyball will have the athletes battling it out as the fans will watch matches with a majestic background.

The Eiffel Tower Stadium is a temporary setup for beach volleyball and will be dismantled after Paris Olympics 2024. It will have the capacity to accommodate 12,860 fans. It is located at the foot of the iconic landmark of the city.

Beach volleyball will begin on July 27 and go on till August 11. Fans will have plenty of time to spend around the Eiffel Tower Stadium.

The men’s and women’s beach volleyball matches will be held at the Eiffel Tower Stadium. In events such as judo and wrestling, the athletes will get a slightly distant view of the Eiffel Tower.

Action in judo and wrestling wil take place at Champ de Mars Arena. They can still get a view of the Eiffel Tower. Road cycling races will also pass by the Eiffel Tower. While on foot, marathon runners and triathletes too will pass by the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

The men’s marathon will be held on August 10 while the women’s marathon will be conducted on August 11. The women’s marathon will signal the end of the Athletics event at Paris Olympics 2024. 

Road cycling will begin on July 27 and will conclude on August 4. The triathlon will take place from July 30 and will end on August 5. There are a total of 35 venues for 45 sporting disciplines. There will be a total of 329 events at Paris Olympics 2024.

The Paris Games will start on July 24 with football being the first event. Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium at Saint-Etienne will be the first venue to be used for the Games.

The Eiffel Tower, a global symbol of the nation, will be a key site during Paris Olympics 2024. With multiple events happening around the site, Eiffel Tower will see huge crowds through the 33rd edition of the Summer Games.
