Paris Olympics 2024: 68 coaches, 50 officials to accompany Indian athletes at summer games

PT Usha hails team colloboration for their efforts in sending Indian contigent to Paris Olympics 2024.
PT Usha showed her appreciation towards the Ministry of Youth affairs and sports, National sports federations for successfully working with each other. She felt that the teamwork involved has helped the Indian Olympic Committee ahead of the Paris Olympics 2024.
The President of the IOA also dismissed allegations of misleading reports of their organisation. She said, “Together with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and its units, the National Sports Federations and a good bunch of corporate partners, IOA had forged unprecedented teamwork. It is shocking that some have turned a blind eye to such synergy.”
PT Usha also addressed the issue of wrestler Amit Panghal and her support staff not getting visas for Paris Olympics 2024. Panghal’s coach, Bhagat Singh, physiotherapist Heera, sparring partner Vikas and masseur Nisha have not received their visas yet for the summer games.
Panghals worries will come to an end as PT Usha has said that she has looked into the case. The three-time Olympian mentioned about Panghal’s father getting in touch with the IOA regarding the case. She will now take up Panghal’s case to the embassy of France.

PT Usha has informed the media to not publish reports without the necessary information. She proclaimed that the IOA has been assisting athletes and their staff in every possible way.
PT Usha said, “I will continue to strive to put my best foot forward when it comes to ensuring the best possible support for each and every athlete in our contingent.”
The IOA has released the list of total number of athletes, support staff and officials who will be part of the Indian contingent at Paris Olympics 2024. There will be a total of 117 athletes, 68 coaches and 50 support staff.
